For journalists
What this site is, what a reporter can take from it, and how to cite an item or a figure with a link back to where it was checked.
What this is
AI Journey is a daily briefing on the AI world. Every item here starts from a primary source, a company's own announcement, a research paper, or an official legal text, and is checked against that source by rules a build can refuse to pass before anything is published. Every item carries the date it was checked and links the source it came from, so a reader can verify any figure directly. Kawsar sets the publication's scope and method and is the named publisher. The How items are made page is the full account of what a stamp requires and what the site refuses to publish. If you are deciding whether to rely on something from here, that page is the one to read first, and the primary source linked from every item is the one to check second.
What you can use
What changed in AI is the dated stream: one item per event, each with its primary source, the day that source was read, and a plain statement of what the event means. An RSS feed carries the whole stream, and every topic page and company page on the site links a feed of its own for just that slice of it.
The API pricing, plans and limits and status pages are the live ledger: dated, sourced tables rather than prose, each with a stamp naming where a row was read and when. The same ledgers are published as plain data, not just as pages:
- pricing as JSON: /data/pricing.json
- pricing as CSV: /data/pricing.csv
- plans as JSON: /data/plans.json
- plans as CSV: /data/plans.csv
- status as JSON: /data/status.json
- status as CSV: /data/status.csv
The weekly briefing reassembles the same week's events into one reading, with every figure still linked to the item it came from.
How to cite
The rule is the one on the terms page: quote a figure with the date it was verified and a link back to the page it came from. The date is the important half, because a figure without one stops being checkable the moment a vendor changes it. Do not republish a table in bulk as if it were your own, and do not strip the date and the link from a figure you quote.
Every item page and every ledger page on this site carries a ready made "Cite this" box near the bottom with the citation already written out, so nothing below needs retyping. Two examples of what that box reads, built the same way the boxes on those pages are:
Corrections and press contact
A figure that disagrees with the vendor's own page is a bug worth reporting: see the corrections page for what happens to one and the contact page for what makes a report actionable.
This site does not yet have a dedicated press address. The contact page carries the route that works today, and the moment a dedicated address exists it is read from the same publisher record every page on this site already uses, so this paragraph will pick it up without an edit.
