AI service status: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and more
Read at 3 Nov 2026 15:00 UTC from the four status feeds that vendors publish for the service itself. A service with no feed of its own is shown as unknown rather than guessed.
This page answers whether the AI services are working right now, and it is honest about which of them we can actually measure. It is for the moment when your work has just stopped and you want to know whether the problem is yours or theirs. Everything here was read at 3 Nov 2026 15:00 UTC; a service whose vendor publishes no machine readable feed is shown as unknown, because a guess on this page would be worse than nothing.

What it means for you
Four of these services publish a machine readable feed about themselves, and two do not. For Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, nobody outside the vendor can say with confidence whether the service is healthy, so this board says unknown rather than borrowing a reading from somewhere else.
A green word here does not mean your afternoon is fine. A vendor's feed reports faults the vendor has admitted to, and it reports them after engineers confirm them. It says nothing about a slow answer, a model that has changed its behaviour since yesterday, a limit you have reached on your own account, or a network fault between you and them. If the board is green and the service still feels broken, those are the four things to check.
For one service, its own page carries the incident list and what its feed does and does not cover: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Perplexity.

How to read this
Where a vendor publishes a feed for the service itself, the status word is that vendor's own reading, translated into five states: operational, degraded, partial outage, major outage and unknown. Unknown means one of two things, and the row says which: the vendor publishes no machine readable feed for the service, or the feed did not answer when we asked. A feed that reports a different product does not set the status word; its reading appears in the row as a related note, attributed to its publisher.
Each row names the exact address read, so a service whose status comes from a shared page can be told apart from one with its own. The incidents column counts the incidents the vendor still has open at the time in the stamp. An incident that a vendor has closed disappears from this table even if you can still feel it. A vendor status page reports the vendor's view of its own service. It does not report slow answers, a model that has changed its behaviour, or a limit you have reached on your own account.
Each service page lists the incidents in full and explains what that vendor's feed does and does not cover.
